Terms of Service

The service

Kodiak North is a personal capture assistant: you speak or type, and your notes, todos, and shopping items sort themselves. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We work to keep the service available, but we provide it on an “as is” basis and cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Your account

You sign in with your email (magic link or Google sign-in). You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

When using Kodiak North, you agree not to:

• break the law or use the service to store or share unlawful content;
• infringe anyone’s rights, including intellectual-property or privacy rights;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users’ data;
• resell or commercially redistribute the service without our written permission.

Your content

The items you capture are yours. You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you — for example, to classify a capture, generate your daily review, sync with services you connect, and answer questions about your own items. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Connected services

You can connect optional third-party services, such as Google Tasks. When you do, you authorize us to read and write the data needed to keep your items in sync, and your use of that service remains subject to that provider’s own terms. You can disconnect a connected service at any time from the app’s settings.

Subscriptions & billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions purchased through Google Play are billed and managed by Google Play under its terms; you can view, change, or cancel them in your Google Play account. Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable, and refund requests for Play purchases are handled under Google Play’s refund policy. Free usage may be subject to limits that we can adjust.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or to protect the service or its users. On termination, the rights granted to you here end; you can request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Kodiak North is a productivity tool and is not a substitute for professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.

Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll revise the date above when we do. Material changes will be reflected here, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
